self-made icing




salam..
walaupun icing ni dah boleh dikira sebagai ketinggalan zamanla jugak kan,yela, sekarang orang dah sibuk guna fondant..hurm, sayangnya masih belum belajar buat fondant lagi, jadi icing jela setakat ni..
i'Allah lepas ni pandaila buat fondant pulak..

sebenarnya bnyak cara nak buat icing ni..
kalau nak senang, beli je whipping cream powder..
lepas tu masukkan susu cair n kacaula beberapa minit smpai struktur tu dah layak untuk digunakan..
ni cara paling muadah lah..kat Egypt pun terpaksa guna cara ni sebab tak jumpa butter..huhu.
i hate using ready-made stuff..!


cara pertama nak buat self-made icing i.e manually..
cuma guna 2 bahan sahaja..
  1. butter
  2. gula ising (boleh je kalau blend gula sendiri,lagi senang kot)
lepas tu campurkan secukup rasa, n putar guna mixer..adjust jumlah butter dan gula tu mengikut citarasa masing-masing..kalau terlampau lembik/cair, nanti susah pulak nak decorate..jadi kalau nampak macam lembik tu, tambah gula banyak sikit...(dah banyak sikit pulak..masalah bahasa)
siap!!

bolehlah guna pewarna ikut suka ..

chocholate candy (fafi), almond london (cikla) dan cupcakes(me)..
raya lagi beberapa hari je, jadi kena marathon buat semua benda..

Assalammualaikum..

setelah sekian lama menyepi..
ceh padahal blog ni dah di'hide'kan..mana ada orang baca..
takpe2, lepas ni kita kasi sebar ini blog..

pejam celik2 pejam celik, Ramadhan kian sampai ke penghujungnya..
sedih..siapa tidak sedih..
sedangkan lautan, gunung-ganang dan segala jenis makhluk ciptaanNya pasti sedih tatkala Ramadhan menghampiri penghujungnya..
masihkah punya esok untuk bertemumu Ramadhan..

diam tak diam Syawal juga hampir menunjukkan wajahnya..
kuih raya mesti ada kan..
seperti biasa, kuih yang wajib ada dan yang pertama sekali kami buat..
Samprit/semperit/samperit atau macam mana sekalipun ejaannya, tapi itulah dia..

kami ubah sikit appearance of da typical-flower-like-samprit-with-cherry..
kali ni kita buat bentuk bunga jugak, tapi shape dia macam curly murly sikit..plus kami guna colourful stuff on top of it..

penatlah buat kuey,amek gambar,buat kuey amek gambar..:P



bahan-bahannya..

  1. Mentega - 300g
  2. Gula ising - 160g
  3. Tepung jagung - 100g
  4. Tepung Custard - 160g
  5. Tepung gandum - 350g
  6. Telur - 2 biji
  7. Bahan hiasan




cara2 membuatnya

  1. pukul gula ising bersama mentega sehingga sebati
  2. masukkan telur dan pukul lagi
  3. kemudian, masukkan tepung jagung, custard dan gandum
  4. pukul selama 5-8 minit
  5. masukkan dalam acuan dan terapkan
  6. letak bahan hiasan
  7. bakar pada suhu 150 selama 20 minit.
  8. siap!

triffle 4 the day

this is actually my very first time of making triffle.. n most important thing is, this is my first time, trying a new recipe of butter cake with my own recipe.. also, this is my first time to make da custard n jelly which i had never dream of using them every now and then coz i hate jelly.. huhu..in a simple words, this is my first time 4 everything which is needed to make da layers of yummy triffle.. i put alot of effort on this one, i'm pretty sure... jom...

JELLY (da 3rd layer)

1) i prefer to use the strawberry flavour which looks nicer than the apricot..plus its color is somehow gorgeous..ngeheh..:P
2) put da jelly powder in a small bowl
3) add 1 1/2 half of boiling water and 1 spoon of sugar

4) stir them up for couple of minutes
5) put it in the freezer



now we can start to bake the cake..
i use to make the jelly first as it will take for almost 2 hours to make the jelly semi-solid i.e this is the state where i can use it as da 3rd layer, otherwise i have to wait for couple of hours if i start with the cake n custard 1st.

da BUTTER CAKE..(da 1st layer)

this is a seriously a secret recipe..i wish i can tell u one day, but not now la..kedekut kan~...
it took about 1 hour to make the cake ready.. then, we'll start with the custard..





CUSTARD (da 2nd layer)
1) put a glass of milk in a frying pan

2) add 2 spoons of custard powder

3) stir them up until they become sticky




let us start..

1) as i bake the cake in da aluminium foil, i'm just gonna use it directyly for da triffle..




2) put some fruitymutty on da cakes before the custard..here is some grapes n slices of pineapple



3) put da custard on


4) add some more fruitymutty


5) lastly, put the jelly on


6) freeze them for 1/2 hour

7) ready to be served..
